  • Can I stay with a dog?

    We also welcome dogs in all types of accommodation. Not all rooms can accommodate pets, so please contact Hyvärilä’s reception in advance to ensure the availability of a pet room.

  • Do you have a restaurant?

    • Breakfast buffet is usually between 7-10 a.m.
    • Lunch buffet at Hyvärilä is served daily from 11-15 and until 18 during the summer.
    • Dinner and evening meal can be ordered in advance in the hotel room.
    • Other restaurants open in the evening in Nurmes include three restaurants at Break Sokos Hotel Bomba, ABC Nurmes and Ibo pizza & kebab.
  • How to get to you?

    • The address is Lomatie 12, Nurmes.
    • By car it takes about 1,5h to Kuopio, Joensuu and Kajaani.
    • The train from Joensuu arrives twice daily at Nurmes railway station, from where it is about 4 km to Hyvärilä. The bus from Joensuu, Kuopio and Kajaani arrives at the Nurmes bus station next to the railway station. You can make the journey by taxi, by streetcar (on weekdays, during the day and with advance booking) or ask us for transport.
      The nearest bus stop for those coming from Lieksa is ”Ritoniemi L”, which is 2 km from Hyvärilä.
  • What else to do in Nurmes?

    • The Kajasteen lava stage is about 3km away and hosts stage dances on summer weekends.
    • Break Sokos hotel Bomba Spa and Bomba’s house is about 1.5km away. You can see the sets of the Kalevala film near the Bomba tsasouna.
    • The Nurmes House Museum, art gallery and cinema are about 3km away.
    • Puu-Numes is a beautiful and protected residential area with a history dating back to the 19th century.
